Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline modeling on transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated, clash-checked model throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires expert Autodesk skills and the ability to mentor staff across geographies. Travel up to 10% may be required as projects dictate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel (10% or less).
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination of intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows per Autodesk and DOT requirements.
• Mentor and train production staff across offices to build institutional capability.
• Provide design sketches and guidance for preparation of finished drawings and layouts.
