Job summary

CDM Smith is hiring a Senior Project Architect focused on transit facilities. You will lead a multidisciplinary design team, develop client-ready design criteria, and coordinate documentation from concept through construction.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure code compliance, and manage project budgets and schedules while supporting sales efforts for architecturally driven projects. This is a senior leadership position within a dynamic transportation portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.
• RA certification required.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic/international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor junior staff on design, coordination, and documentation.
• Develop building design criteria with clients and prepare presentations.
• Lead construction documents coordination among architecture and engineering teams.
• Mentor project architects on multi-discipline projects.
• Determine materials, technologies and detailing methods.
• Prepare and edit technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Serve as quality control reviewer for others’ work.
• Lead project budgets and schedules and monitor through close out.
• Support sales and act as Project Technical Lead for architecturally driven projects.
