This is a full-time REMOTE opportunity. For selected candidates, an AUTOCAD test will be required.

What You'll Do

1. Transform roughly designed concepts from engineers into CAD working documents.
2. Develop detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles, maps, and specifications for gas pipeline projects.
3. Plot maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating topographical contours.
4. Draft detailed drawings of structures.
5. Assist survey crews in the field to collect data for revision of construction drawings.
6. Calculate rights-of-way and street dimensions and angles.
7. Create dimensional relationships of parts and overall project components using engineering practices and mathematics.
8. Use CAD equipment to produce preliminary and final sketches of proposed drawings.
9. Extract data from ground surveys to create contour drawings for soil erosion and sediment control.
10. Design supports for pipelines, including above- and below-ground supports.
11. Modify drawings as directed by engineers or design coordinators.
12. Create as-built drawings upon project completion.
13. Perform other related duties as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Design and Drafting Technology preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills.
