Job summary

VAA is seeking a Technician to join our team, supporting drawing preparation and drafting from concept through construction documents. You will work with designers and engineers to create plans that meet CAD standards and deliverables.

You will set up plans, identify redlines, improve technical skills, and coordinate plotter maintenance while potentially traveling to job sites as needed. This role offers a hybrid/worksite arrangement and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher.
• OR at least 1 year of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up plans, sections and details to specified CAD standards under the direction of others.
• Identify redlines on drawings created by others and accurately make required changes.
• Enhance design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise.
• Coordinate plotter maintenance and project archiving as requested.
• May require occasional travel to construction job sites.
