Job summary

VAA LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Technician to join our engineering/design team. You will work with designers and engineers to provide drawing preparation and drafting support for projects from concept through construction documents, ensuring CAD standards are met.

You will set up plans, sections and details to CAD standards, identify redlines, and coordinate plotter maintenance and project archiving. Occasional travel to job sites may be required; starting pay is $22.00–$29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher.
• OR at least 1 year of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• The Technician works with designers and engineers to provide drawing preparation and drafting support for a variety of projects from concept phase through construction documents.
• Set up plans, sections and details to specified CAD standards under the direction of others.
• Identify redlines on drawings created by others and accurately make required changes.
• Enhance design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise.
• Coordinate plotter maintenance and project archiving as requested.
• May require occasional travel to construction job sites.
