Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Deputy CAD Administrator to manage the CAD environment and drive design technology standards across projects. You will assist with maintaining CAD standards, supporting users, and ensuring consistent design practices to enable efficient project delivery.

The role involves software installations, license coordination, and collaboration with IT, PMs, and engineering teams. A strong background in CAD and BIM tools is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Engineering Technology, or drafting.
• 5–10 years' CAD experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and Bentley OpenX and/or ProjectWise.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit or other BIM tools a plus.
• Strong CAD standards, plotting, and file management.
• Troubleshooting ability and clear communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Document CAD procedures and workflows.
• Support quality control reviews to ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support and troubleshooting.
• Onboard new employees by setting up CAD profiles and tools.
• Develop and deliver CAD training materials.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and license coordination.
• Coordinate file management and project setup with IT and PMs.
• Support client Workspace deployment and enhancements.
• Evaluate new CAD tools, plugins, and workflows.
