Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Deputy CAD Administrator to lead the CAD standards, tooling, and training across multiple offices in a hybrid/remote setup. The role supports project teams by ensuring scalable CAD processes and consistent design practices to improve efficiency and delivery quality.

The position emphasizes collaboration with engineering, design, and IT, with responsibilities from standards to client workflow deployment and ongoing tool evaluation to support growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 to 10 years of experience using CAD platforms in a professional environment.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX products and/or ProjectWise.
• Strong understanding of CAD standards, plotting, and file management.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and enforcing CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Document CAD procedures and workflows.
• Support quality control reviews to ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with onboarding and training CAD users.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and license coordination.
• Support file management and project setups in coordination with IT and project managers.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve CAD challenges.
• Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and automation.
