Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typing 35 words per minute with 85% accuracy.
• Pass county background check with no criminal conviction.
• Minimum two years experience as CAD Specialist I or equivalent in Fire/EMS/Police.
• Able to handle confidential data.
• Ability to read maps and interpret mapping data.
• Knowledge of York County layout and municipalities.
• Strong organization and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of CAD Specialist I as needed.
• Maintain databases and resource materials in Communications Center with CAD Specialists.
• Maintain Fire and EMS unit resource lists.
• Create and maintain Fire, EMS, and Police Response Plans.
• Troubleshoot CAD system environments at multiple locations.
• Respond to CAD-related trouble tickets and inquiries.
• Assist in competency testing for hardware/OS upgrades.
• Answer phones and relay messages; maintain equipment records.
• Coordinate with GIS for updates to Street Index and response plans.
• Respond to on-call incidents on Mobile Command Unit Team as Driver/Tech.
• Attend meetings and training as necessary.
