Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a CAD Engineer to join the Sentry Mechanical Engineering team. You will own drawing quality, standards, and CAD file integrity across the program, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with Sustainment and Manufacturing teams to release both legacy and new designs.

The role requires 3D CAD proficiency, GD&T mastery, and 5+ years of CAD experience in defense or consumer products, plus eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• 3D CAD proficiency and ability to understand and apply GD&T to create high quality engineering drawings.
• 5+ years of computer aided design experience in a professional setting for either defense or consumer product designs.
• Associates Degree in Computer Design, CAD, Graphics, or a related field.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Own the quality of drawings and CAD files across the Sentry Mechanical Engineering team.
• Coordinate across Anduril internal departments to ensure CAD designs and released documentation meet both internal and government standards
• Mentor junior engineers on drawing and CAD process to ensure they meet the engineering standards and best practices.
• Work closely with Sustainment, Manufacturing Engineering, and Configuration Management to release and update both legacy and new product design files.
