Job summary

SAIC is seeking a drafting and documentation support specialist to assist NSWC Crane. You will help create and update Technical Data Packages using Solid Edge, requiring proficiency with 3D parametric CAD and professional correspondence.

You will draft and modify drawings, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and support design changes and documentation through independent and team work, following established standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires AS or BS degree in a related field, or HS diploma with 3+ years of related experience.
• Solid Edge experience preferred; 3D CAD experience required.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ISO procedures; ability to communicate complex ideas.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Creates and modifies detailed drawings using Solid Edge CAD software.
• Works with Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design.
• Works independently and in a team to implement design/documentation changes.
• Uses Calipers, Gauges, Tape Measure, Ruler and other tools for development and verification.
