AEP Service Corporation in Pulaski, VA seeks a CAD drafting intern to create, revise, and maintain 3D inventory parts and 2D AutoCAD Electrical drawings. You will build a foundation for your career through hands-on drafting and documentation tasks.

Responsibilities include reading vendor prints, performing calculations, and using Autodesk tools like AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, and Vault, while complying with company ethics and safety standards.

Competenze

Completed at least one year toward an AAS in drafting/CAD or in civil, structural, electrical or mechanical eng tech or equivalent experience/education.

Mansioni

Create, revise and maintain engineering Drawings and sketches.
Support maintenance of facilities and equipment documents and records.
Obtain information from verbal, sketches, vendor catalogs, field notes and site visits.
Perform mathematical calculations for assigned work.
Proficient use of CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, Vault).
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Read vendor prints, shop drawings and operation instructions and incorporate into work.
Demonstrate ethical behavior per company policies.
Understand basic electricity.
