Job summary

AEP is seeking a Customer Design Technician Intern in Pulaski, VA. You will use CAD tools to create and update 3D inventory parts, assemblies, and drawings, plus 2D AutoCAD Electrical drawings.

This internship builds a foundation for your engineering career with hands-on CAD experience. You will learn to read prints, work from sketches and field notes, perform calculations, and use Autodesk products like AutoCAD Electrical, Civil 3D, Inventor, and Vault while gaining exposure to corporate

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least one year toward an AAS in CAD/Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with conventional drafting symbols and methods.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise and maintain 2D/3D drawings and sketches.
• Support creation and maintenance of facilities and equipment documents and records.
• Read vendors' prints and drawings; incorporate information into work.
• Perform calculations required for assigned tasks.
