Job summary

Children's Hunger Alliance in Northwest Ohio is seeking a CACFP Program Specialist to support the Child and Adult Care Food Program across the region. You will train childcare centers and family providers, conduct on-site reviews, and ensure program compliance to help children access nutritious meals.

You will develop materials, manage documentation, and build community partnerships while staying current on USDA and CHA regulations. Occasional travel is required to Northwest Ohio.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in nutrition/childcare.
• Experience with structured childcare programs and training preferred.
• Valid OH driver's license and ability to travel within Northwest Ohio.
• Knowledge of CACFP regulations and child nutrition concepts.
• Proficient using computers, email and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train childcare centers and family providers in CACFP.
• Conduct on-site monitoring reviews and provider visits.
• Provide technical assistance and customer support for program compliance.
• Review documentation, including monthly claims and disallowances.
• Train staff on Minute Menu and related systems.
• Conduct outreach to raise CACFP awareness and partnerships.
• Maintain organized electronic files and required documentation for each provider.
• Prepare and submit weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports.
• Support development of program materials and training resources.
• Stay current on USDA, ODE, and CHA regulations.
