Job summary

Children's Hunger Alliance in Northwest Ohio seeks a CACFP Program Specialist to support and expand CACFP across the region. You will train childcare centers and home providers, conduct monitoring reviews, and provide ongoing support to ensure meals reach children.

The role requires frequent travel, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with CACFP regulations. Join CHA to impact child nutrition across Ohio.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2+ years of experience in nutrition, childcare, or related field.
• Experience with structured childcare programs and training preferred.
• Valid State of Ohio driver's license and ability to travel within Northwest Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train childcare centers and family childcare providers in CACFP.
• Conduct on-site monitoring reviews and in-home provider visits.
• Provide technical assistance and customer support to ensure program compliance.
• Review and process documentation including monthly claims and disallowances.
• Train providers and staff on systems such as Minute Menu.
• Conduct outreach to raise CACFP awareness.
• Maintain organized electronic files for each provider.
• Build partnerships to expand program reach and resources.
• Stay current on USDA, ODE, and CHA regulations.
