Job summary

Magellan Federal is recruiting a Part Time/On Call ID Card Specialist in Millington, TN to support DEERS/RAPIDS operations. You will act as a VO on DEERS/RAPIDS terminals, verify eligibility, issue DoD identifications, and perform updates while assisting customers with entitlements and program requirements.

The role requires a HS diploma, 1+ years in customer service, and a background in HR disciplines related to military pay or personnel. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a Customer Service environment.
• HR background in Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims or Navy Transportation.
• Substitutions for HR background can be from similar experience gained in either the private sector or other Federal Agency.
• Proficient in both oral and written communication to communicate effectively and explain complex actions regarding military entitlements, allowances and collections.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Must be U.S. citizen and possess favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (NACLC) security investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional military personnel support services to the U.S. Navy’s ICA program at DEERS/RAPIDS sites.
• Serves as ID Card/CAC customer service specialist trained and certified by the DMDC.
• Delivers ID Card services to all personnel, retirees, dependents, and verified contractors.
• Verifies identity and eligibility of DoD beneficiaries and issues DoD Identification Cards.
• Operates and maintains RAPIDS workstations and handles DEERS enrollment and updates.
• May be certified as Site Security Manager (SSM) for CAC safekeeping and accountability.
• Maintains RAPIDS equipment and performs User Maintenance on RAPIDS systems.
