Cabling Technician
Our Employee-Owned, Georgia-based Low Voltage Systems Division is seeking Structured Cabling technicians in the Southwest GA area. We are looking for technicians who excel in communication, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to deliver the highest level of customer service. Positions are regular, full-time, and benefits-eligible. Pay range depends on experience, skills, and knowledge.
What you will do:
- Inspect work areas and complete Job Hazard Analysis prior to starting any work.
- Review and process work, plan ahead, coordinate equipment, supplies, tools, and manage schedules and impacts.
- Install equipment and cable while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues for quick resolutions.
- Complete post-installation paperwork and coordinate with supervisors for inspections.
- Provide First-Class customer service for superior customer satisfaction.
- Know industry standards, color codes, cable types, and testing procedures.
Candidate must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Work while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders.
- Bend, squat, crawl, reach, kneel, and balance.
- Climb ladders of various heights and work in cramped corridors.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Stand for over 95% of the workday and sit for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Work in indoor and outdoor conditions, around moving machinery, and exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, and gases.
- Possess specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
- Operate motor vehicles independently.
- Operate technologies and equipment as required by the installation plan.

Minimum Experience & Requirements:
- Positive safety attitude and high personal integrity.
- Valuing workmanship, customer service, and satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
- 5+ years of experience in structured cabling preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve low voltage system issues.
- BICSI Certification preferred.
