Job summary

TEKsystems in Huntsville, AL, is seeking technicians for 100% onsite work to install and maintain network cabling in data centers. The role involves wiring, grounding, and building racks and patch panels, with both indoor and outdoor work required.

The position requires local residence and offers a pay range of $22.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, and PTO as applicable.

• Fiber knowledge
• Fiber troubleshooting
• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices
• Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers.
• Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

This is a Contract position based out of Huntsville, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
