Job description

Title: Cable Technician

Description:

The cable technician is responsible for the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of structured cabling. This includes the physical installation of cabling, overseeing the work of others, surveying work sites to determine the best installation practices, coordinating workflow within the unit, acting as a company liaison, and providing on-the-job training to other technicians as needed.

Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining video and data cables, copper and fiber cabling infrastructure according to organizational standards. Willingness to work overtime is required.

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
• Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
• Testing newly installed or relocated cables per company specifications.
• Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
• Installing televisions, routers, and internet technology devices.
• Troubleshooting cable network issues.
• Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on job classification and employment length. Benefits may include:
