Job description

*Cable Technician*

*Description:*
The cable technician is responsible for the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of structured cabling. This includes physically installing cabling, overseeing work of others, surveying work sites to determine best practices, coordinating workflow within the team, acting as a company liaison, and providing on-the-job training to other technicians as needed.

They must install, troubleshoot, and maintain video and data cables, as well as copper and fiber cabling infrastructure according to organizational standards. Willingness to work overtime is required.

Responsibilities include:

1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
2. Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
3. Testing newly installed or relocated cables per company specifications.
4. Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
5. Installing televisions, routers, and internet technology devices.
6. Troubleshooting cable network issues.
7. Installing support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.

*Pay and Benefits:*
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on job classification and employment length. Benefits may include:
