Job summary

Responsibilities include leading product design reviews, defining specifications, developing test plans, and collaborating with global teams to transition products to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field required.
• 2+ years of experience in product development or design.
• Experience in connector design is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD tools.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop power connector solutions as required by the BU strategic roadmap and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with front-end team and customers to define product requirements.
• Lead product design reviews and create technical presentations for stakeholders.
• Develop testing programs to verify design intent and performance.
• Present concepts to customers early in development, gather feedback and update requirements accordingly.
• Define product, application, and packaging specifications.
• Formulate verification and qualification test plans.
• Partner with NPI and manufacturing engineering to transition products to production.
