Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Solutions Architect to lead high-speed interconnect programs for CBS. You will own system-level architecture, drive requirements, and collaborate with OEMs to deliver robust, scalable backplane solutions.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and present strategic directions to executives, with 30%-50% travel. Location: Seattle, WA or other US sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Role draws on electronic and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience providing technical guidance on interconnect solutions.
• Deep knowledge of interconnect solutions and system architecture.
• Experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for CBS customer solutions.
• Define system-level requirements ensuring signal integrity, mechanical alignment, thermal efficiency, and scalability.
• Develop technical specifications, schematics, and proof-of-concept models for cable backplane.
• Serve as the primary contact between the cable cartridge manufacturer and the OEM.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership within CBS front-end engineering team.
• Collaborate with multiple Business Units to ensure seamless integration of CBS products.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for CBS products and solutions.
• Participate in industry conferences to stay updated on advancements.
• Travel 30%-50% as required.
