Job summary

Amphenol Corporation’s Cable Backplane unit seeks a Solutions Architect to lead architectural design and technical strategy for CBS customer solutions. You will define system-level requirements, ensure high-speed signaling integrity, thermal efficiency, and scalability while partnering with OEMs and internal teams.

You will develop specifications, mentor engineers, present to executives, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate across business units.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years providing technical guidance on interconnect solutions.
Experience applying signal integrity, EMI/EMC, or mechanical tolerance analysis to system designs.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and technical strategy for CBS customer solutions.
Define system-level requirements for high-speed signals, thermal, and mechanical alignment.
Develop technical specifications, schematics, and proof-of-concept models.
Serve as primary interface between cable cartridge manufacturer and OEM.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multiple Business Units.
Develop and maintain technical documentation; present to executives; participate in industry events.
Travel 30-50% as required.
