Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead front-end engineering for high-speed cable backplane systems. You will own the architecture, define requirements, and drive technical discussions with OEMs across CBS programs.

Seattle-based or other locations as needed. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in interconnect solutions, strong CAD modeling skills (Pro/E/ SolidWorks), and experience with EMI/EMC, with 30–50% travel.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years' experience providing technical guidance on interconnect solutions.
Background in either electrical or mechanical engineering with strong system-architecture understanding.
Experience with modeling tools and CAD software.

Responsibilities

Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for CBS customer solutions.
Define system-level requirements ensuring signal integrity, alignment, thermal efficiency, and scalability.
Develop specs, schematics, and proof-of-concept models for cable backplane.
Serve as primary interface between OEM and cable cartridge manufacturer.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multiple Business Units.
Prepare materials and present to executives; travel 30–50%.
