Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Systems Architect to lead system-level architecture for high-speed backplane connectors and related interconnects. You will translate customer needs into connector design direction and guide roadmaps with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 10+ years in hardware/interconnect solutions, strong communication, and travel as needed. This is an on-site position based in Valley Green, PA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware and interconnect solutions experience in IT/Datacom.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong cross-functional communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and strategy for high-speed backplane connectors.
• Serve as technical interface for strategic customers and translate system needs.
• Guide product roadmap with SI, mechanical design and PM teams.
• Ensure alignment with IEEE 802.3dj and OIF CEI standards and timelines.
• Deliver high-level technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Provide rapid, advanced technical support on backplane issues.
• Collaborate with other business units to unify system-level narratives.
• Travel as required.
