Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Cable Assembler in Beverly, MA for a contract-to-hire role. You will assemble small electrical cables and connectors at a bench, using a microscope and hand tools, following detailed work instructions and production documentation.

You will read blueprints, perform basic soldering, and prepare components, all while maintaining quality and cleanroom-like standards in a fully onsite setting. This is a weekday daytime schedule with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cable assembly experience at a bench.
• Able to work with very small parts using a microscope or magnifier.
• Experience with basic soldering in electronics or cable assembly.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
• Comfort using hand tools such as tweezers and small assembly tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical cable and connector assembly processes.
• Ability to follow detailed written work instructions accurately.
• Basic inspection skills to visually check parts and assemblies for defects.
• Ability to perform basic math to support measurements and production tasks.
• Familiarity with production environments and meeting quality/throughput goals.

Job Description

The Cable Assembler works at a bench assembling small electrical connector parts and cables in a clean, production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Exposure to IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards for electronic and cable assemblies.

• Experience working with microscopes in a manufacturing or assembly setting.

• Experience in electrical or electronics manufacturing is beneficial.

• Prior work in cleanroom or clean manufacturing environments.

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a production team.

Work Environment

You work in a clean, production-oriented environment closely aligned with cleanroom-type manufacturing standards. Assembly tasks take place at a bench using microscopes, magnifying devices, tweezers, and other small hand tools. The regular schedule runs from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with training conducted on a schedule such as 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The setting emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to quality procedures, with a structured production workflow and clear work instructions guiding daily task

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beverly, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
