Job summary

Aerotek in Irvine, CA is seeking an Assembler I for 1st shift in a clean, onsite manufacturing environment. You will perform electro-mechanical and packaging tasks, use basic hand tools, read procedures and drawings, and work with a cross-functional team to meet quality standards.

This contract-to-hire role offers a 4/10 schedule, pay range $20–$26 per hour, and benefits eligible after eligibility. Candidates with 2+ years of medical device assembly and attention to detail fit best; training

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical device assembly experience
• Diploma required
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures
• Competent in working with cross-functional teams and communicating effectively

Job Title: Assembler - 1st Shift

Job Description

The Assembler I will perform duties associated with electro-mechanical and clean room device assembly and packaging. The critical attributes and skills required for this position include manual hand assembly skills, attention to detail, initiative, working well within a team, and ability to produce consistently high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations including compliance with Medical Device Quality Standards.

• Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental policies and procedures (DOPs), objectives, the quality assurance program, as well as safety and environmental standards.

• Establish, build, and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and suppliers.

• Work with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Maintain meticulous attention to detail and meet deadlines.

• Learn new equipment and processes, and quickly demonstrate proficiency in their operation.

• Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures, complying with their requirements.

• Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in monitoring own work to maintain quality.

• Practice and advocate good safety skills at all times.

Essential Skills

• 2 plus years of medical device assembly experience

• Diploma

• Ability to use basic hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.

• Ability to operate electrical and mechanical equipment and interpret results

• Proficiency in working well with others in a cross-functional team environment

• Attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and to detect issues with tooling, materials, processes, and quality

• Ability to read, interpret, and learn engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, and inspection procedures

• Competence in working on a computer with various programs to transact product within the production system and complete online training

• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and to demonstrate active listening

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in cleanroom and production environments

• Mechanical assembly skills

• Familiarity with packaging processes

Work Environment

The work environment is a cleanroom/production setting with a 4/10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 5 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
