Job summary

Lowe's Stores in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a motivated Sales Specialist to assist customers, understand project needs, and drive home improvement sales. You will become a product expert, explain features, and offer financing options to close sales.

You will work in various departments and may assist with installations, deliveries, and after-sales support. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail: 6 months; or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s if education not met.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and explaining Lowe’s products.
• Serve as a contact for customers and vendors, managing estimates, scheduling installers, and tracking orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to replenish stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist in department communications.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach for development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
