Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in Thomaston, ME to greet customers, understand project needs, and guide product selections.

You'll become a product expert, explain features, promotions, and financing options, and help close sales on the floor and at checkout. You will work in an assigned department (Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls) and may participate in training, vendor relations, and

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year in customer-facing sales or Lowe's retail experience
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
Lifting up to 75 pounds with/without assistance as required
Readiness to obtain sales-related licensure if required by state

Responsibilities

Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and guiding customers to Lowe's products and services
Serve as the point of contact for customers and vendors within the department, handling estimates, installer visits, orders, and follow-ups
If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services
Monitor inventory and collaborate with vendors/stores to replace stock
Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation
Support checkout functions and in-store communications
Train associates on the sales floor and coach development needs
Complete other duties as assigned
