Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and help them select the right products to complete home improvement projects. You’ll become a product expert, sharing specifications, features, and promotions to close sales.

In this role you’ll work in a department based on hiring needs, such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more, with emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without accommodation.
• Sales licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Act as point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule visits, process orders, and follow up.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory to support sales and coordinate with vendors/store for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
