Job summary

Lowe's in Oklahoma City is seeking a Sales Specialist who helps customers find the right home improvement solutions and turns ideas into reality. You’ll become a product expert, explain features and promotions, and assist customers to close sales while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with an accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand needs, answer questions, and explain Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates and scheduling installer visits.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate replacements with vendors/rest of stores.
• Perform price reviews according to policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist customers as needed.
• Train associates in the department via on-the-job coaching and development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
