Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP in Tempe, AZ seeks a Controller with Professional Service industry experience to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) team. You will develop internal control policies, coordinate budgeting and financial planning, and prepare financial statements for clients.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (CPA preferred but not required) and about 7 years of accounting/financial experience; QuickBooks and MS Office proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA certification preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required; public accounting experience preferred.
• Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software; QuickBooks highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget, cash, credit management and accounting activities.
• Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities; prepare financial information.
• Prepare and direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, forecasts, budgets, or regulator reports.
• Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses; make recommendations.
• Monitor KPI and performance of accounting and financial staff; implement actions.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and other stakeholders; prep/host board presentations.
