Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Professional Service Organization experience to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) practice in Milwaukee, WI. You will work 1:1 with clients to provide customized accounting services that help them manage and grow their business.

You will develop internal control policies, coordinate financial planning and budgeting, monitor KPI, and lead accounting staff. A Bachelor's degree is required; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree is required; CPA preferred but not required.
• Experience: 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience, pro services experience preferred.
• QuickBooks experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
• Travel: in-office with local travel to client sites and possible overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Develops internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budgeting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Monitors and evaluates the performance of accounting staff, advising management on financial objectives and actions; may prep board presentations.
