Shield AI is seeking a Software Integration Engineer (L1) to join the Systems & Platform Integration team. You will develop C++ interfaces linking Hivemind autonomy software to sensors, flight controllers, payloads, and vehicle systems, while configuring Linux mission computers and supporting lab-to-field validation.

You will collaborate with autonomy, systems, test, and flight teams to integrate software on new platforms, using ROS/ROS 2, MAVLink, and other protocols, with emphasis on robust

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience programming in C++ through coursework or projects.
• Familiarity with Linux and debugging.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures, and interfaces.
• Interest in robotics, embedded software, distributed systems, autonomy, or aerospace systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Mansioni

• Develop C++ software interfaces between Hivemind and sensors, flight controllers, payloads, radios, and vehicle systems.
• Build and maintain interface blocks, platform adapters, and middleware components.
• Integrate data from sensors and vehicle systems into autonomy software.
• Implement and debug communication interfaces using MAVLink, serial, TCP/UDP, and multicast.
• Configure and deploy software on Linux-based mission computers.
• Support SIL, HIL, VIL, and lab integration testing.
• Develop Python scripts and tools for testing, configuration, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
