Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to advance autonomy development within the Hivemind SDK. You will integrate new capabilities, validate customer use cases, and ensure platform readiness from SIL/HIL to flight environments.

Expect collaboration across engineering, product, and field teams. You will explore end-to-end system behavior, optimize integration workflows, and develop tooling for efficient debugging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Comp Eng, Robotics or related field.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Experience with autonomous systems, server apps, or middleware.
• Experience designing integration workflows and triaging defects.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Become a systems integration expert for autonomous robotics and the Hivemind stack.
• Configure, deploy, and integrate multi-agent systems across simulation, HIL, and flight platforms.
• Understand end-to-end system from sensor inputs to autonomous behaviors.
• Integrate new capabilities into the autonomy stack and ensure interoperability.
• Lead integration of autonomy software onto new robotic hardware platforms.
• Configure sensor drivers, interfaces, and platform adapters for full autonomy stack.
