Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to advance the Hivemind autonomy platform. You will become a power user of the Hivemind SDK, validate customer use cases, and drive integration of autonomy capabilities across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight environments.

You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine features and ensure robust interoperability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of related experience with a CS/CE/Robotics degree (or 6 years with a master's; 4 years with a PhD).
• Proficiency in Python and C++ programming.
• Experience with autonomous systems, server applications, or middleware.
• Experience designing integration workflows and triaging defects across subsystem boundaries.
• Proficiency with simulation tools and HIL testing environments.
• Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Become a systems integration expert for autonomous robotics and the Hivemind SDK.
• Configure, deploy, and integrate multi-agent systems across simulation, HIL, and flight platforms.
• Understand the end-to-end system from sensors to autonomous behaviors.
• Integrate new capabilities into the autonomy stack and ensure interoperability.
• Lead integration of autonomy software onto new robotic hardware platforms.
• Configure sensor drivers, interfaces, and platform adapters for full stack functionality.
• Develop integration tooling, deployment scripts, and configuration management for SIL/HIL/flight environments.
• Analyze system behavior using logs and telemetry to diagnose defects and drive fixes.
• Improve integration workflows and CI/CD to accelerate release readiness.
• Validate system requirements and interface contracts with engineering teams.
