Shield AI is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to advance our autonomy stack across simulation, HIL, and real hardware deployments. You will bridge engineering development with customer-focused workflows, driving reliable integration in multi-agent systems and sensor pipelines.

You will work with Python, C++, ROS, and CI/CD tooling to ensure robust platform bring-up on robotic hardware and mission-ready deployments, collaborating across engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in CS, Comp Eng, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience with autonomous systems, server apps or middleware.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ and ROS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Become a power user of the Hivemind SDK and identify gaps from a customer perspective.
• Develop and validate customer use cases and evaluate ease of use for autonomy developers.
• Integrate new autonomy capabilities into the platform and anticipate edge cases.
• Lead integration of autonomy software onto robotic hardware platforms.
• Configure sensor drivers, communication interfaces, and platform adapters.
• Build integration tooling and CI/CD frameworks for SIL, HIL, and flight environments.
• Analyze system logs and telemetry to diagnose integration defects.
