Job summary

BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution / US is seeking an Outside Sales Representative (C&I) to grow a regional portfolio of commercial & industrial solar and energy storage customers.

You will lead consultative sales with EPCs, developers, and commercial installers, shaping opportunities across design, procurement, and execution. You will travel within the region, manage multi-stakeholder deals, and collaborate with inside sales, product management, and credit teams to balance customer value with margin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, energy, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional C&I sales strategy and account plan to achieve revenue, gross margin, pipeline, and customer-acquisition objectives.
• Prospect, qualify, and develop relationships with C&I EPCs, developers, commercial installers, and other project decision-makers and influencers.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic and growth accounts, including opportunity mapping, stakeholder engagement, account penetration, retention, and share-of-wallet expansion.
• Build and maintain a disciplined opportunity pipeline across the C&I project lifecycle, from design through procurement and construction.
• Conduct consultative discovery to understand project scope, schedule, technical specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Develop coordinated products, pricing, logistics, credit, and inventory solutions that improve customer economics and project execution.
• Prepare and deliver professional customer presentations, proposals, product comparisons, and commercial recommendations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, close dates, forecasts, and account activity.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product selection, solution development, and project execution.
• Monitor market conditions and policy developments to identify risks and opportunities.
• Represent the company at meetings, industry events, and regional networking activities.
