Job summary

Y-Tech Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Aviation Machinist – C-130 Specialist to join our maintenance team. The role focuses on fabrication, modification, and repair of aircraft parts for the C-130 platform, using manual and CNC machines, and interpreting complex drawings to ensure structural integrity.

The candidate will work with aerospace-grade materials, perform heat treatment, and collaborate with mechanics during maintenance checks while complying with FAA and TO standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of aviation or aerospace machinist experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and manuals.
• Proficiency with manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Experience working with aerospace-grade materials and tolerances.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools to fabricate/repair aircraft parts.
• Manufacture replacement parts, bushings, sleeves, and tooling for the C-130 platform.
• Read engineering drawings, SRMs, and blueprints for repair work.
• Select aviation-grade materials and manage heat treatment and stress relief.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Support maintenance during Letter Checks and ensure FAA/military compliance.
