Job summary

DTE Vantage is seeking an Assistant Operator in River Rouge, MI, responsible for overseeing plant operations and maintenance. This role includes comprehensive health benefits and a pay of $28.35 per hour, plus potential bonuses of up to $7,500 annually.

The position requires candidates to possess a high school diploma and some manufacturing experience. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is essential. Applicants will work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license required.
• Manufacturing experience in an operating discipline preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chemical plant safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with the rotating operating crew to safely operate the plant.
• Learn function, flow, and hazards of each process unit.
• Participate in safety activities to meet organizational goals.

Skills

Manufacturing experience in an operating discipline

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel experience

Knowledge of pump and piping applications

Strong written and verbal skills

Team oriented

Detail oriented

Understanding of chemical processes

Strong safety experience

Education
