Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on operating and service equipment in a heavy industrial environment at our River Rouge site. The role requires coordination with the operating team and the ability to work with minimal supervision or as part of a crew.

Key duties include maintaining coke-making machinery, supporting safety programs, and adhering to environmental and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of heavy industrial experience.
• Must be proficient in precision cutting with burning torch.
• Must have arc welding (SMAW) in 2F & 3F positions.
• Basic pipe threading and fitting skills.
• Basic rigging knowledge and experience.
• Print reading abilities.
• Strong safety experience.
• Team oriented with ability to work in a matrix organization.
