Job summary

DTE Energy in River Rouge, MI is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on coke making equipment and related systems on a Monday–Friday day shift, 7:30 am–3:30 pm. The role supports uptime, safety, and smooth operations with coordination from the operating team.

Qualified candidates will have 3 years of heavy industrial experience, hands-on instrumentation and PLC/DCS knowledge, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of heavy industrial experience required.
• Experience calibrating, programming, installing, and troubleshooting process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, level).
• Experience with DCS loops tuning and PLCs.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on coke making machinery and related equipment to maintain uptime.
• Operate and assist in repairs, coordinating with the operating team to maintain operations.
• Adhere to safety procedures and environmental requirements in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with supervisory and maintenance staff to improve processes and equipment reliability.
• Document and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
