Job summary

POET in Caro, MI is seeking a Plant Technician for the night shift (7:00 pm – 7:00 am), on a 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts. You will operate all plant processing equipment, perform routine maintenance in a highly automated bioprocessing facility, and support safe, efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities include operating the DCS, basic electrical troubleshooting, following SOPs, maintaining logs, collecting QA samples, and assisting in preventive and predictive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred for Plant Technician I/II/III roles.
• Proficiency with plant equipment operation and basic problem-solving required.

Responsibilities

• Operate all plant processing equipment and perform routine maintenance in a highly automated facility.
• Operate the DCS (Distributed Control System) and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow SOPs, maintain accurate logs, collect QA samples, and enter results into the data system.
