UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Entry Level Buyer I in the Supply Chain department. The role focuses on procurement of goods and services across the health system, with responsibilities spanning requisitions, vendor communications, and order verification.
Ideal candidates will have a business or procurement background, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-service mindset to help improve department efficiency and service levels.
Under general supervision, to perform purchasing functions and any other activities related to the procurement of goods and services for any UAB Health System entity and participate in the contracting and value analysis process. To interact with vendors and departments to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and service levels are met and/or exceeded.
