UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, seeks an experienced recruiter to manage applicant screening, interviewing, and onboarding for a wide range of positions. Under supervision, you will source candidates, coordinate offers, and maintain confidential records, supporting a fast-paced, health-system hiring environment.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in HR and 2 years experience; SPHR preferred; strong communication and Microsoft Office skills.
Pay range: $57,940 - $94,150 / year

Under general supervision and according to established policies, procedures and in compliance with federal and state laws, to perform applicant screening and employment-related processes. To interview and assess qualifications of applicants, and to refer qualified candidates to user departments. To maintain confidential records associated with the employment process. To conduct pre-employment computer testing on selected applicants. To meet with new hires and finalizes new employee paperwork as part of the Onboarding process.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and two (2) years of experience in employment/recruitment, including experience in interviewing/screening applicants, required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. Previous experience working in Human Resources in a healthcare or higher education recruitment setting or healthcare or higher education leadership experience preferred.
Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred.
