Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Busser/Runner to support the dining team in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our San Francisco property. You will assist servers, buss tables, prep stations, and maintain cleanliness across dining areas to ensure smooth service.

The role involves handling food service tasks, stocking, and basic front-of-house support with a focus on teamwork and hospitality. Training and opportunities to grow within a premium hotel group are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the wait staff in the service of food in accordance with the established standards.
• Set up station in the kitchen.
• Pre-bus tables.
• Polish glassware and silverware.
• Assist servers in bussing tables and pouring drinks as needed.
• Maintain outside patio, remove heaters and replace propane tanks.
• Maintain the orderly upkeep of coolers and storage areas.
• Assist with unloading of inventory as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of expo lines.
• Assist in table setup and cleaning; keep the restaurant clean in all areas.
• Swap plates per service, with condiments and garnishes needed.
• Prepare limes, lemons and other items used by servers for food service.
• May assist with other duties such as greeting and seating guests, counting and exchanging soiled linen, polishing glassware or silverware.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

• Maintain outside patio, removal of outside heaters and replacement of propane tanks
• Maintain the orderly upkeep of coolers and storage areas.
• Assist with unloading of inventory as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of expo lines.
• Assist in table set up and cleaning when required. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant in all areas.
• Swapping of plates per service, along with condiments and garnishes needed.
• Preparation of limes, lemons and other food items used by servers for food service.
• May assist with other duties as needed, such as welcoming, greeting and seating guests, counting and exchanging soiled linen, polishing glassware or silverware, etc.
