Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is hiring for a housekeeping role. You will keep guest rooms immaculate and assist guests with their needs, from locating amenities to guiding them around the property.

This is a physical role requiring stamina. You may work nights, weekends, and holidays; lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional bending or kneeling are expected. Uniforms are provided and ongoing training is offered.

Qualifications

• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day; fitness is important.
• Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms.
• Bend and kneel to complete activities.
• Literacy skills – reading, writing and basic maths.
• Flexible attitude to shifts – nights, weekends, holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure every room is at its absolute best for our guests.
• Help guests with needs and guide them to elevators or other services.
• Keep supervisor informed of progress or problems.
• Monitor and control supplies to minimise waste.
• Reunite guests with lost or misplaced items.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Making sure every single room is at its absolute best for our guests
• Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they’ve forgotten their toothbrush or just need to find the elevator
• Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems
• Monitoring and controlling supplies to minimise waste
• Doing your best to reunite guests with any lost or misplaced items
• Regularly assisting with deep clean projects

What We need from you:
