Job summary

Bain Capital in Boston is seeking a Product Specialist to provide ad hoc support to the senior Product Specialist team, review investor reporting, fund profiles, and pitchbooks, and coordinate with global teams on client requests. The role requires 2–4+ years in investment management or consulting, knowledge of credit strategies, and strong PowerPoint and communication skills.

Series 7/63 is required; if not licensed, tests must be completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic credentials and a track record of work experience.
  • 2–4+ years’ experience with an investment management firm, consulting firm or similar.
  • Experience with credit strategies, including multi-asset and structured credit, preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative PowerPoint skills and ability to understand financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ad hoc support to senior Product Specialist team, including reviewing and overseeing investor reporting, fund profiles, website content, and pitchbooks
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc client and prospect requests
  • Coordinate with the global distribution sales team and investment teams to schedule and plan investor meetings
  • Liaise with global distribution sales team in product positioning and client engagement for fundraising
  • Support Product Specialist team in internal and external communication of investment strategies and fund updates
  • Develop and maintain relationships across internal stakeholders, including global distribution sales teams, investment teams, legal, compliance, accounting and operations
  • Prepare and monitor competitor analyses

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to establish priorities, managing multiple tasks and meeting time-sensitive deadlines
  • Series 7 and 63; if not currently licensed, successful hire must complete tests in the first 90 days of employment
Compensation:

Expected Annual Base Salary $75,000 - $100,000
Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
