Symetra is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to configure and enhance technology solutions that support operational needs. You will partner with business and technology teams to analyze requirements, design, test, and implement system enhancements, and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field.
  • Experience with configurable business platforms (FINEOS) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in group benefits insurance (life, disability, leave/absence) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator capable of collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain business applications, including workflows, business rules, forms, user interfaces, and data elements.
  • Analyze business needs and support the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including business requirements, system specifications, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and improve system performance.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, testing activities, and implementation planning.
  • Coordinate system changes across multiple environments and support production deployments.
  • Develop and execute test plans, validate system changes, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Provide production support, resolve application issues, and assist users with system functionality.
  • Support reporting, data management, and ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Contribute to project initiatives and continuous improvement activities that enhance business operations.
