Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis, operations, technology, insurance, or related field.
  • Experience with FINEOS or similar configurable business platforms preferred.
  • Experience in group benefits insurance preferred.
  • Experience with SmartComm preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; SDLC understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain business applications including workflows, rules, forms, UI, data elements.
  • Analyze needs and support design, testing, and implementation of enhancements.
  • Create and maintain business requirements, system specs, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to troubleshoot and improve performance.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, testing, and deployment planning.
  • Coordinate system changes across environments and support deployments.
  • Develop test plans, validate changes, and support UAT.
  • Provide production support and assist users with system functionality.
  • Support reporting, data management, and ongoing optimization.
  • Contribute to projects and continuous improvement of operations.

About the role

In this role, you will help deliver business value by configuring and enhancing technology solutions that support operational needs. You’ll partner with business and technology teams to analyze requirements, configure system functionality, improve processes, and support the successful delivery of system enhancements.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems, and translating business needs into practical solutions.

What you will do
  • Configure and maintain business applications, including workflows, business rules, forms, user interfaces, and data elements.
  • Analyze business needs and support the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including business requirements, system specifications, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and improve system performance.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, testing activities, and implementation planning.
  • Coordinate system changes across multiple environments and support production deployments.
  • Develop and execute test plans, validate system changes, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Provide production support, resolve application issues, and assist users with system functionality.
  • Support reporting, data management, and ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Contribute to project initiatives and continuous improvement activities that enhance business operations.

Compensation

Salary Range: $79,900 - $133,200 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred. High school diploma required.
  • 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis, operations, technology, insurance, financial services, or a related field.
  • Experience with FINEOS or similar configurable business platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience within group benefits insurance, including Life, Disability, Leave/Absence, or related products is preferred.
  • Experience with SmartComm is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Effective communicator who can build strong relationships and collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn new business processes and technologies.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and systems implementation practices.
  • Experience supporting, configuring, or enhancing business applications.
  • Working knowledge of system integrations, data flows, and business process automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience translating business needs into system requirements, test scenarios, or process improvements.
  • Professional certifications relevant to business analysis, systems, or technology are a plus.
