Job summary

Roth Staffing is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II for a client in Newport Beach, CA. This role focuses on analyzing business problems, capturing requirements, and supporting technical teams.

You will work with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and Operations, refine backlogs with Product Owners, and contribute to Sprint plans and UAT. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in systems analysis and strong communication; Azure DevOps and PostgreSQL knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytical field, CS, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of systems analysis experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to handle ambiguity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for business and technical subjects.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with self-organizing teams.
• Experience with Financial Services / Annuities or Life Insurance products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems and clarify requirements for technology projects.
• Refine backlog with Product Owner and prioritize use cases.
• Develop solutions coordinating with business areas and Digital Transformation teams.
• Participate in design sessions and aid in system solution development.
• Engage in sprint and release plans and retrospectives.
• Prepare estimates and assist in scope definition and tracking.
• Support UAT and adoption of changes.
• Coordinate testing and code promotions with DevOps.
• Troubleshoot production problems and coordinate resolution.
